Since its inception in 2005, the Commonwealth Connects Programme has endeavoured to bridge the digital divide by sharing ICT resources across the Commonwealth. The Programme has maximised its impact across five priority areas, and by tapping into existing Commonwealth networks it strives to facilitate multi-stakeholder partnerships between governments, the private sector, civil society and the international donor community. Recognising its importance, Commonwealth Heads of Government renewed its mandate at CHOGM 2009, presenting a significant opportunity to build on the Programme’s successes.

Governments are encouraged to take advantage of the wealth of resource-sharing opportunities available through this Programme.

Regional Meetings for Government appointed Country Contacts are taking place on the 27th and 28th September, in South Africa and on the 30th September, 1st October in Trinidad. For full details on these events please click here.
